Our deadline for talk submissions has passed. However, posters are welcome and require only proof of conference registration by at least one author. There is only one poster session, so those interested in presenting posters should submit an abstract to the main conference. We just ask that you send the co-chairs a quick email with title, authors, and abstract after you’ve submitted your poster so that we can include the information in our workshop program.
Even if you do not plan to present anything, we welcome your participation! Open science means many things to many people and we plan to have a number of lively discussions that will only benefit from greater numbers of interested individuals.
The workshop is included in the general conference registration. There is no separate registration fee available so participants, including speakers, must register for the full conference.
Due to a generous grant from the Burroughs Wellcome Fund, we now have some funds available for travel support. If you are interested in receiving travel support, you may apply by emailing the workshop co-chairs by Oct 24 with the following information:
- Position and affiliation
- Title and abstract of poster or talk, unless already provided
- Estimated itemized travel expenses
- Ability to attend excluding our travel support
- Brief resume, URLs, or other materials produced by you relevant to open science
- Short (1-2 paragraphs) statement describing your interest in open science
Travel awards and award amounts will be given based on the quality of the abstract, level of need, and level of interest in/commitment to open science, with preference to students and those who have little ability to attend the workshop without financial assistance.
We will notify all applicants by Oct 29. The early registration deadline for PSB is Oct 31.
